Empowering over 30 million creators, YouTube has unveiled a wave of new features for YouTube Studio aimed at helping creators grow, protect, and manage their channels more effectively. Announced at its Made on YouTube event, the updates span AI-driven support tools, content planning aids, and powerful security features.
Likeness Detection Protects Creators’ Image
One of the most significant updates is likeness detection, now launching in open beta for all YouTube Partner Program creators. This tool lets eligible creators detect and request the removal of unauthorized videos using their facial likeness. Previously tested with top creators like MrBeast, the feature aims to protect creators’ reputations and prevent audience misinformation, a growing concern as deepfake content becomes more common.
AI Chatbot and Enhanced Inspiration Tools
YouTube is also introducing Ask Studio, an AI-powered chatbot designed to answer creator questions and provide insights on video performance, audience feedback, and editing style. The goal is to give creators quick, actionable guidance without needing to dig through analytics dashboards.
Meanwhile, the Inspiration tab gets a major upgrade, offering personalized topic suggestions, expanded AI prompt responses, and explanations of why certain ideas fit a channel’s audience. These additions aim to streamline the brainstorming process and spark new content strategies.
Smarter A/B Testing, Collaboration, and Auto Dubbing
Creators can now test up to three titles and thumbnails per video to find the most engaging combination, building on earlier A/B testing tools. A new collaboration feature also allows up to five creators to co-publish a video and share exposure across audiences, though revenue will go to the posting channel.
YouTube is further enhancing its auto dubbing tool with lip-sync technology, making translations in 20+ languages appear more natural. This follows strong engagement results showing viewers watch dubbed videos for 75% as long as the originals.
